The childcare center will teach every child the love of Christ and how to live with a Biblical worldview.
We're currently planning construction renovations for our new home on Bell and Clinton Streets near Downtown Bloomington. It's the old Grace Brethren Church and school and former starting location of Cornerstone Christian Academy. Planning is underway and renovations will hopefully start in early 2026.
Like most daycare centers, parents will pay for childcare based on the number of children and their ages. Some families may use government assistance while others may have the means necessary to cover costs.
For those with financial need, we will provide scholarships from donor supported funds. These scholarships are not free handouts, but given to applicants that qualify. This may be a sliding scale payment, volunteer hours or completion of tasks on the their particular plan (such as parenting classes).
Frequently asked questions
What ages will the childcare serve?
Joshua Tree Childcare will serve children who are Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Threes & Fours… With plans for after school care in the future.
Is the childcare free? Does it cost?
Childcare will cost and be comparable to any daycare center. Families will have opportunities to apply for state financial aid or apply for scholarships with Joshua Tree. A plan will be enabled for each family to maximize relationship and partner with them holistically where possible.
Where will it be located?
We are currently preparing construction and renovation plans for the old educational wing of Grace United Brethren church near downtown Bloomington (Bell & Clinton Streets). This will be the home of the childcare center in the heart of Bloomington.
How can I partner with the childcare center?
We’ll need various types of partnerships from staff members, to donors, to volunteers. Go to our partner page to learn how you can team up with us to begin to break generational poverty.
How will this be different from other daycare centers?
Our vision is to provide love, care, safety, identity, and Jesus to not only each child we serve, but the whole family. We’ll do this in various ways as we partner with the moms and dads to show and share the love of Jesus with each family.
